50 Cent Vs. Kanye West: The Plot Thickens
November 2nd, 2005
With the release and collapse of 50 Cents second album…. umm I can’t even remember the name; he has been lashing out on everyone, looking for a reason it sucked. Whether its blaming the hand that fed him, Dr. Dre, for not giving him enough studio time with his mastery, his own crew The Game for stealing some of his Gangsta market share, or the pop music landscape in general. After stating a few months back that everyone wanted a more “non-confrontational” artist, and the (liberal) media just picked Mr. West to fit the bill. Allow me to editorialize these charges against ‘Ye, Kanye’s album is good, filled with good music, from one of the best producers in the business, himself. While Fitty’s record comes off as sounding ‘ohh soo 2002′ with interchangeable lyrics from previous albums, see Candy Stick or was it Magic Shop, eh I can’t remember.
Anyway it appears 50 is grabbing headlines again he is now saying he disagrees with Kanye’s “Bush wants to kill all black people” comment, which I may or may not be misquoting. I’m glad he pondered this one for a good 2 months, you don’t want to come off as sounding like an idiot when talking about something as prickly as politics, but for a “gansta rappa” to be defending a republican president, just seems kind of screwed up. I’d also like to mention Mr. Cent’s new movie is coming out soon, I’m sure that is completely unrelated to the timeliness of his comments.

Woo Doggie, round ‘em up, its Country Music Hoe Down Friday on Touch That Dial. Country songs for ya’ll look below its Gram Parsons and Alec Ounsworth holding hands. Ya’ll come back now, Giddy Up!
So I went and saw those lovely Canadians do their thing in philly on Monday. I don’t know about you but everytime I see them my counting skills are improved greatly by the time I leave. “Oooh there’s 12 people on stage” …. “oh wait, there is 5 guitars” … “look two drummers and three trumpets”. Needless to really say they were awesome and I bought a poster, It’s on my wall in my bedroom.

You see that little sign, that little guy is holding right there? Think about it for a second, I’m sure we are all guilty of it, especially in this bitter little hipster world we wrap ourselves around, but the first thing out of our mouths would most likely be a complaint. I am often very guilty of the complaining, just my most recent post before this one was me being kind of bitchy about Pitchfork’s scoring of the new My Morning Jacket album, so for today at least I’m going to suspend the complaints and do my best to sort of make amends with my warped little mind.
Begin internal monologue reassuring you that America is better than Canada:
Yesterday while stumbling through the internet, in tears because Touch That Dial was down due to server issues, I wandered my way into the most excellent
