And let you keep on living…
I went out and saw me some Built to Spill last night, and they rocked it pretty darn hard. I fully recommend checking them out on their up coming tour (dates). Along with this post I was going to put up a track from their Live album they put out a few years back, it was a Neil Young cover of “Corez The Killer”, but to save my bandwidth (they jam it out to over 20 min!), I decided instead to upload the song that they opened with last night, Distopian Dream Girl.
That brings up an interesting thing to me, lots of bands seem like they are paying homage to Neil Young lately. Seems like the Neil Young cover has come along way since Eddie Vedder “rockin’ in the free woerrrrrrllld.”Last year Thom Yorke, did a wonderful cover of “After the Goldrush”, at Neil’s Bridge School Benefit, and more recently James Mercer from the Shins did a cover of “Harvest”, at the Moonshine Festival. Thats the only two I can think of off the top of my head, drop a comment if you know any others of interest.
Welp! here’s the track you savages.
